For travelers coming from Illinois, please use these alternate routes:

• Take Highway 34 West to Burlington, Iowa, then head South on Highway 61 to Fort Madison.

• Alternatively, you can take Highway 136 West to Keokuk, Iowa, then head North on Highway 218 and continue on Highway 61 North to reach Fort Madison.
